Cornwall: Polzeath Camping

This was a huge site, with really friendly and helpful staff, the really over jealous camper in the van next door blew our electricity cable up while trying to plug it in after too much wine. The staff came over in their golf buggy and just lent us another. The site is full of families from the South of England trying their hand at surfing, so are all kitted out in the gear (read:trying to be cool). So if like us you just like to chill out, you can sit back and people watch, and laugh a lot. Ask for directions to walk to the beach, we didn’t and ended up wandering around fields in the dark only to end up in a campsite which was clearly the inspiration for the film Snatch…
Also, you can’t take your dog on the beach in the summer at Polzeath, but you can take him to The Waterside pub and sit outside and check out all the real surfers. It’s a tough life…
